The "4C" Societal Leader Framework
How does an individual societal leader navigate the complex journey of leadership in an undefined and continually-evolving world?
The Foundation has developed the 4C Societal Leader Framework™ as a way for individuals and organizations to understand where they are in the leadership journey, and to develop plans for the next leg of their endeavours.
The 4Cs -- Competence, Character, Conviction, and Courage -- are points of reference to navigate by. Each encompasses many other leadership attributes and issues, but the four key attributes help the societal leader to navigate simply and effectively.
The "4C" Societal Leader Framework™

COMPETENCE: Leaders must possess the balanced set of skills, experience, knowledge, judgment, and rounded personal development necessary to make sound decisions and perform their role effectively and consistently.
CHARACTER: Leaders of exemplary character stand for something bigger than themselves, demonstrating deep-rooted personal integrity that guides their actions regardless of temptations or challenges.
CONVICTION: Leaders resolve to build a shared sense of responsibility for our society and our world through an authentic, values-driven, and morally consistent set of actions.
COURAGE: Leaders take a powerful stand for what is right, proper, and just regardless of complex societal challenges or the personal consequences.
